The foundation of prophetic ministry is learning to recognize God’s voice. He speaks in many ways—through Scripture, the inner witness, visions, dreams, and sometimes audible impressions.
Discerning His voice requires intimacy, not formulas. A noisy heart cannot clearly hear God. Quietness, prayer, and meditation sharpen discernment.
God’s voice is always consistent with His Word. No revelation will contradict the Bible. Prophets must train themselves to test every impression against the written truth.
Hearing God is less about techniques and more about relationship. The closer you walk with Him, the clearer His whispers become.
Scripture: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27 KJV)
Self-assessment:
Do I spend more time seeking God’s voice or people’s approval?
Am I patient enough to wait for God to confirm what He says?
Do I test every impression with Scripture and wise counsel?
